The Kaiapoi Golf Club was founded in 1907 and is situated just 20 minutes north of Christchurch. The 18 hole course is a combination of links and parkland styles, has well groomed undulating fairways and smooth rolling greens. A computerised irrigation system keeps the course green in summer and a sandy base makes it one of the driest courses in Canterbury during the winter.
The course offers a fair challenge for players of all abilities but is slightly shorter than some others, so 18 holes can usually be completed in just over 3 hours, a bonus for busy people. Alternatively, you can play just 9 holes if you wish. New members and green fee players are always welcome, with fees very reasonable. Golf carts and clubs can be hired, and trundlers can be borrowed for free. School students play for free if accompanied by an adult.
